About Go Telecom
What is Go Telecom?
The connectivity brand of GC Global L.L.C-FZ. We deliver managed Starlink Priority service (and soon Amazon Leo) to organisations in Africa, on Stellar's enterprise platform. We are built for business, multi-site and mobile use, not home streaming.
Why choose Go Telecom instead of buying Starlink directly?
You get a business account instead of a personal one, one portal for every terminal, shared data pools with a quota per site, one invoice for the whole network, installation and migration of the kits you already own, 24/7 support, and a network of local distributors.
Who is it for?
NGOs and conservation projects; mines and energy; banks, governments and institutions; logistics and transport fleets; lodges and hospitality; ISPs and integrators.
Which offer suits my sites, vehicles or field teams? Is it available where I operate?
Fixed sites, one or many: Go Business. Vehicles and field teams: Go Mobile. Sites that cannot go offline: Go Always-On, which is planned. Data is priced for 120+ countries; where no Local priority plan exists, Global priority plans apply. Choose your country in the quote builder to see what applies to you.
Is Go Telecom limited to Starlink?
No. Through Stellar we can integrate 18 satellite networks and 550+ cellular networks. Amazon Leo will join the same account with our Go Always-On offer, which is planned.
Plans and availability
Which plans do you offer?
Local Priority (in one country) and Global Priority (multi-country, in motion). Both come as single terminals or as a shared pool.
Is Priority the same as dedicated bandwidth?
No. Priority traffic is served ahead of residential traffic, so it stays stable under congestion, but it is shared capacity, not a private link.
Can I move a Local Priority terminal?
Yes, anywhere within the country, without notice.
The Starlink website says my area is "sold out". Can I still connect?
Sold-out status usually applies to residential plans. Priority capacity is managed separately and is often still available. Ask us to check your exact location.
Is there unlimited data?
No. Every plan has a defined volume. On a single terminal you can move to a larger package at once. A shared pool can't be enlarged during the month: once it is used up, extra data comes in 50 GB blocks at twice the standard rate, and a larger pool applies from the next month. With a pool and a Globble SatCom, a quota per site stops one site from draining everyone.
Accounts and fleets
How many terminals can one account hold?
Unlimited, across several countries, managed from one console.
Can several dishes share one subscription?
Each terminal has its own service line. A pool lets all service lines share one data volume.
Can I use my existing Starlink terminals? Will migration interrupt service?
Yes: never activated, active or dormant, compatible kits move to our business account without new hardware. The current account holder releases the terminal from their Starlink account, then we register it and activate your package. A short interruption may occur during the cutover, so we agree the date with you.
Pooling and quotas
How does a shared data pool work?
Every terminal keeps its own package and all terminals draw on the total. A pool needs at least two terminals, 5 TB in total, the same package on every terminal and one country. Pooling costs nothing extra. When the pool runs out, optional automatic 50 GB top-ups keep full speed; pool top-up blocks cost double the single-terminal block. Without top-ups, terminals stay online at about 1 Mbps until the next cycle. A Globble SatCom at a site holds that site to the quota you set.
What does the Globble SatCom add?
A quota per site inside the pool, set and changed remotely, so a busy site can't take the others down. It also gives remote Wi-Fi and LAN management and fleet-wide settings.
ISPs and resellers
Can an ISP use Go Telecom for backhaul?
Yes. We can deploy a base station with several high-performance dishes on one site. You distribute locally over fibre, radio or Wi-Fi.
Do you contact my customers?
Never. You keep the customer relationship, pricing and network design. We supply backhaul, the platform and a confidential reseller price grid.
Security and network
What can my IT team manage, which networking options exist, and what reaches the satellite operator?
Your IT team gets portal access: use per terminal and per pool, history and alerts; with a Globble SatCom, also quotas per site, Wi-Fi and LAN settings. Networking options: a fixed public IP and VPN (Unity Edge), and 4G/5G backup (Globble Regolith or Orbit). Your terminals are registered on our business account. Your organisation's identity is not shared with the satellite operator, except where the law requires it. Satellite operators still process technical data such as terminal location and traffic volume to run the network.
Can you add security?
Yes. The Globble Orbit adds satellite and 4G/5G aggregation, automatic failover and centralised policy. Unity Edge adds a static public IP, VPN and secure remote access.
Can I keep my own router?
Yes. We don't sit inside your LAN or inspect your traffic. The path stays: your network, your router, satellite, internet.
Can I have a static IP?
Yes, as an option, through Unity Edge.
Hardware and installation
Must I buy hardware from you?
No. Hardware is optional, and any Starlink model works.
Which dish should I pick?
Mini: mobility and short deployments, not critical fixed sites. Standard: small offices and moderate use. Performance or High Performance: fixed critical sites, ISPs and heavy use; our recommendation for most African sites. The data plan sets the potential; the dish sets the ceiling.
Does heat or rain affect performance?
Yes. Strong heat can make a dish slow itself down, and the Mini is the most sensitive. Heavy storms cause temporary drops. High Performance dishes cope best in hot and rainy regions.
Can you supply power as well?
In DR Congo, yes: solar and battery power for sites without reliable power, supplied with the connectivity on one contract through our energy partner GoShop Energy. It is quoted separately.
Billing and support
Who bills me?
Either GC Global L.L.C-FZ in Dubai (direct international billing) or our local distributor, for example GoShop Energy in DR Congo. Applicable taxes are shown on your quote.
What will I pay upfront, monthly and yearly?
Upfront: terminals, mounting, delivery, installation, activation and, if you want a quota per site, the Globble SatCom router. Monthly: the data package of each terminal. Yearly: the STEER platform licence for each SatCom router. Taxes depend on who invoices you, GC Global in Dubai or a local distributor, and are shown on your quote. The quote builder shows your estimate after a short sign-up.
When do I pay?
Standard billing is monthly. For approved organisations, deferred payment up to 30 days after the end of each service month is available as an option.
What are the contract, cancellation and seasonal suspension terms?
Monthly plans, paid in advance, with no minimum commitment unless your order states one (a hardware lease, for example). On a single terminal, a larger package applies at once. A shared pool can't be enlarged during the month: extra data comes in 50 GB blocks at twice the standard rate. Downgrades, pauses, seasonal suspensions, cancellations and new terminals in a pool must be requested at least five days before the end of the month (the 26th in a 31-day month) and apply from the 1st of the next month. Unused data is not carried over. For payment terms, see When do I pay?
Who owns and controls my terminals? Can I transfer them if I leave?
Hardware you buy is yours. Leased hardware becomes yours at the end of the lease; if you end the lease early, the remaining lease value is due and the hardware is then yours. Rented or loaned hardware stays ours. If you leave, we release the terminal's service line once its balances are settled.
What support do I get when a connection fails, including on-site help?
Go Telecom supports direct clients 24/7 at Level 1 and 2, through a dedicated channel and not only email, with remote diagnosis and proactive troubleshooting. Platform or network issues are escalated by us to the platform and network operators, so you keep one contact. Installation and on-site support are provided in the countries of the coverage table below, through our local distributor; elsewhere, support is remote. Clients of our distributors are supported by the distributor.
What speeds can I expect?
It depends on location, congestion, weather, plan and dish. We don't promise a fixed speed; Priority improves stability under load.
Why pay more than Starlink Residential?
You pay for a class of service: priority, pooling, control per site, security options, one invoice and one support path. If you only need home streaming, Residential is cheaper, and we'll tell you so.
| Country | Local distributor | Installation | On-site support |
|---|---|---|---|
| DR Congo | GoShop Energy | Yes | Yes |
| Uganda | GoShop Energy | Yes | Yes |
| Rwanda | GoShop Energy | Yes | Yes |
| Mozambique | GoShop Energy | Yes | Yes |
Everywhere else, we bill you directly from GC Global in Dubai, with local data plans priced for 120+ countries and Global Priority for terminals that cross borders.
Go Always-On
What will Go Always-On include, what happens if one network fails, and when can I order it?
Go Always-On is planned. It will combine a Starlink terminal and an Amazon Leo terminal at the same site, bonded by the Globble SatCom with an aggregation accessory that is not yet released. One data package will cover both networks; pricing will be announced. If one network fails, the full data allowance stays available on the other, but speed is limited to what that link delivers. Register and we will tell you when it is available in your country.
