In today’s world, growing a business isn’t just about investing in new equipment, hiring staff, or building new infrastructure. It also requires access to energy that can keep pace with those ambitions.

This is the story of Mr. Nsitu Pelende, an entrepreneur in the cassava processing sector, who chose to make energy a driver of growth.

In Kwango Province, cassava is a staple crop that plays a vital role in the lives of local communities. It generates income and contributes to the development of the local economy. However, between harvest and processing, one obstacle remains: ensuring a continuous power supply.

Without a reliable energy supply, even the best harvests cannot be fully utilized to their full potential. Machinery operates intermittently. For a cassava-to-flour processing plant, every power outage means lost time, inconsistent production, and limited growth prospects. Several machines in use including 1 press, 2 graters, 1 mill, and 1 submersible pump rely on electricity.

A Relationship of Trust Built on Quality and Satisfaction

The story of this project began in late 2024. At the time, Mr. Nsitu Pelende was seeking to secure his business in the face of energy uncertainties. By installing a backup system coupled with a 66 kVA generator, we had already demonstrated that investing in reliable energy is a sound long-term strategy. This initial installation enabled him to ensure the continuity of his production and to work with greater peace of mind.

Building on this initial success, he decided to take things further two years later. Rather than a simple backup solution, he opted for a comprehensive energy infrastructure rated at 45 kVA, 40 kWh, and 52.08 kWc. This choice now allows him to reduce his dependence on conventional energy sources to sustainably power his second cassava processing plant, located in the village of Tembe, in the Kenge territory.

To meet the specific needs of this new site, GoShop Energy deployed a fully customized hybrid solar solution. Here is its configuration:

84 620-W photovoltaic panels,
8 BYD batteries,
a Fronius Verto 27 photovoltaic inverter, providing smart energy management;

3 Victron Quatro 15-kVA inverters,

a 66 kVA generator, integrated into the system to ensure redundancy

Today, the factory consumes an estimated 207 kWh of energy daily, without interruption. The company now benefits from a stable power supply to operate its equipment, maintain consistent production, and support its growth with greater confidence.
