Goma: GoShop Boosts Its Energy Self-Sufficiency

GoShop Energy, a solar energy expert in the DRC, has increased energy independence for its branch in Goma. Explore the major system upgrade, which boosts solar capacity to 32.84 kWp (a 151% increase), demonstrating its commitment to a greener future.

GoShop Energy is a company based in the DRC that specializes in the energy and solar sectors. It places innovation and consistency at the heart of its strategy, viewing every employee as an integral part of the solution.

In response to a significant increase in its electricity consumption, GoShop has modernized its system to strengthen its energy independence. This decision reflects its principles and dedication to a greener future, manifested in the modernization of its power supply network, thereby serving as a model. To improve energy independence, capacity was increased by 32.84 Wp, representing a 151% increase.

BEFORE the upgrade:


68 solar panels of 320 Wp each (for a total capacity of 21.76 kWc) ​

Today we’re reaching a milestone with an upgrade to:

  • 120 455 Wp panels, totaling 54.6 kWc
  • A 215 kWh BESS storage system
  • A 100 kVA DC/AC converter
  • A 50 kW MPPT
